Dr. Ira D. Canfield Biography
Dr. Ira D. Canfield was found drowned in the river near Renovo, in September, 1867.
His mind was impaired some years before his decease, and it was supposed he ended his own life. He was born at Morristown, N. J., Feb. 1, 1806, studied medicine at Reading, and was an eminent practitioner of Centre and Clinton Counties for over fifty years.
He left a son, Dr. Ira D. Canfield, Jr.
